A Short Homage to Reading

This year so far I’ve learned about 1970s silicon valley and the birth of VR, the experiences of Navy SEALs in Iraq, complexity theory when applied to the evolution of technology, screenwriting in Hollywood, and the lives of the unbanked in America.

The experience has been rich, diverse, illuminating and I hope to be a more well-rounded and empathetic human as a result.

This is the joy of reading…the ability to transport yourself to different worlds and learn about fields you would never have the opportunity to experience in your everyday life.

The more widely I read, the more curious I become, and the more joy I feel when I find a few hours to curl up with a new book and learn something new.

Next on my list are a history of cryptography, a biography of Leonardo da Vince, and a study of the biology of human behaviour…and I am so excited to dive in.

If you’re ever looking for a new book, you can follow what I’m reading here
